In the Evening between 7pm and 9.30pm ....

Professor Ian Morison will be running three evening tutorials during 2012 which will be exploring different aspects of the night sky and providing advice on how to get the best out of your telescope. Each session will consist of an informative talk, hands on experience with a telescope and night sky observations (weather permitting)

To Infinity and Beyond

An overview of the development of cosmology over the last 100 years from the Big Bang models of the Universe to the astounding revelation of recent years in that we have no real understanding of 96% of its content! You will learn how Jodrell Bank astronomers have helped determine the size and age of the Universe and are now probing its most distant horizons.

We advise guests to bring along personal telescopes to the evening.
